Ann Obuchowski has worked professionally with children and families for over 10 ten years. She received her birth and postpartum doula certification from Birthingway College of Midwifery and received her BA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She has also completed work towards her Master's degree at Reed College in Portland Oregon.
Her love of coaching families began with her experience working with Volunteers of America in their Family Relief Nursery. She provided respite care for special needs children as well as advising parents on sleep, discipline and other child development related issues. This experience combined with her work as a nanny confirmed for her that she has a unique ability to comfort and soothe infants.
We sought out Ann because of her expertise in working with young families and her natural ability to support babies in developing healthy long term sleep habits. Ann is very passionate about collaborating closely with parents as they find the best solution to assist their children. Her experience and philosophies fit perfectly into Ruby Sky's core belief that every child is unique and can benefit from an individualized sleep plan.
In addition to personalized coaching she also provides overnight support for families. Ann's clients find her encouraging and compassionate attitude to be invaluable while she walks along side them, during what can be a very challenging time.
